A few shots of the amazing legend that is Kylie Minogue taken during an interview with Logo. (Don’t judge me based on these pre-lit for video snapshots!) I was so excited to be there though that I had to share these. Doesn’t she look amazing? Check her out being adorable and hosting PopLab on Logo!
Maybe someday I’ll do an actual photo shoot with her! Lets make that happen!

Recently I had the opportunity to photograph the hilarious ladies of Candy Slice, a NYC all-female comedy troupe of eight who met in the improv program at the famous Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater and named their group after late comedian and SNL-star Gilda Radner’s “Candy Slice & The Slicers.”
The troupe performs their monthly variety show, “Up Late With Candy Slice,” in Manhattan, and their self-produced videos have garnered over a million hits on YouTube, including their very own behind the scenes spoof of the Beyoncé and Lady Gaga video for “Video Phone” (which also appeared on Perez Hilton):
The most amazing thing about that video? They wrote the parody BEFORE the actual “Video Phone” video was released! They’re obviously oracles. (Also, does anyone else think that Beyonce totally ripped off MIA’s look in that one shot? You know which one I’m talking about.)
In the era of Tina Fey, Wanda Sykes, Amy Poehler and Kristin Wiig, Candy Slice is an example of a growing trend of confident, funny ladies taking over the comedy scene.
For the shoot, I had the help of talented wardrobe stylist, Sara Medd, who brought the bright threads, accessories, and lots of sweet props. We listened to Gaga, played with hair fans, and ate a lot of candy. See the full interview here.

I took photos of my grandmother Kittie’s shoes around her house over Christmas. Her house is the perfect vintage backdrop for this kind of still life shoot! Here are the results.

I’m so honored and excited to share a few of my photos from Lady Gaga’s The Fame release party, Fame Ball, published in the limited deluxe edition of Lady Gaga’s release of The Fame Monster! Not only am I a huge fan of Lady Gaga, but I’ve had the privilege of photographing her twice. Once at Fame Ball and once at MTV before her very first televised performance at Logo’s NewNowNext Awards. Below are the photos from Fame Ball that were used in this limited edition art book. If you haven’t already checked out Fame Monster, its an amazing album from an very talented musician and performance artist. Also, “Bad Romance” is one of the most visually stunning videos I’ve seen in a very long time.

I love that she wrote about Monster hands on my picture!

I'm thinking about wearing the piece of her wig. What do you think?
Canadian indie rock/indie pop duo consisting of twins Tegan and Sara just released their newest album, Sainthood and its sooo good.

I really love Tegan and Sara. I love their music and I love their dynamic. Tegan & Sara interviews are hilarious. Their banter on stage is not only part of their performances, it seems to be part of their everyday dynamic as sisters and a band. So when I was offered the chance to take some stills of Tegan and Sara, I snuck in to hear two interviews first. Did not disappoint.
I had a 15 second time slot at MTV to pop off a few shots of the twins against an already set up backdrop before they were whisked away for a series of interviews and shoots that took them from 9 in the morning into the evening. Popular girls.

Phaidra Knight is an unbelievably powerful combination of brain, brawn, and sweet Southern charm. One of the best female rugby players in the world today, Phaidra has played on the US Women’s Rugby team for 10 years, competed in two World Cups and earned herself a prestigious spot on the World Team. A former lawyer and a current businesswoman as well as a full time athlete, Phaidra is a force to be reckoned with, but sitting down and talking with her in Carlytron’s backyard, she’s the kind of person you feel like you just want to hug and tell all your secrets to. Her personality, she says, changes when she “hits the pitch.” For as aggressive as she plays on the field (she’s a “Flanker” — one of the stereotypically crazy and on edge players who get to tackle a lot), Phaidra is pretty chill off the field.

I photographed actor Paul Gosselin down in the trendy and fabulous meatpacking district by my new favorite location The High Line. Despite the heat, Paul modeled through it like a champ and a true professional and was tons of fun to work with! Paul’s credits include The Muppet Christmas movie Letters to Santa, Saturday Night Live, Damages, Rescue Me, Bored to Death, As the World Turns, One Life to Live, Guiding Light, and more! Check out his blog, Cosmopaulitan Entertainment.
